Due to growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to oversee and ensure the quality of welding work in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. The CWI will conduct inspections, interpret blueprints, and ensure all welding activities meet regulatory and safety requirements.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular inspections and audits of welding operations to ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
2. Evaluate welds for conformance to ISO standards, blueprints, and specifications.
3. Develop, implement, and maintain weld procedures and process control using statistical methods.
4. Identify and report non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and ensure their effective implementation.
5. Collaborate with the production team to enhance welding techniques and improve the overall quality of products.
6. Provide technical guidance and training on welding techniques, quality control, and safety procedures to the welding team.
7. Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedure specifications.
8. Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, audit results, and corrective actions.
9. Stay updated with latest industry trends, advancements, and changes in regulations.
10. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the creation of best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection or quality control.
2. Valid AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
3. Extensive knowledge of welding processes, quality control, and ISO standards and requirements.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding code and standards.
5. Demonstrated ability to conduct inspections, identify non-conformities, and recommend effective corrective actions.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
