We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting CFO/Controller to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our financial leadership team, responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations. You will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing financial risk. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of business operations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
2. Oversee all aspects of financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial reporting.
3. Manage the preparation and publication of all financial statements ensuring they comply with laws, regulations, and standards.
4. Perform financial audits, preparing detailed reports on audit findings and recommending improvements.
5. Develop and manage financial controls and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure the integrity of financial data.
6. Manage and oversee insurance, trusts, and fiduciary trust accounts.
7. Lead performance management initiatives, setting financial performance goals, and assessing performance against these goals.
8. Regularly report to senior management on financial forecasts, budget variances, and financial risks.
9. Advise on long-term business and financial planning, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
10. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
1. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CFO, Controller, or equivalent senior financial managerial position.
3. Extensive knowledge of financial principles and procedures, including budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and financial auditing.
4. Proven experience in managing insurance, trusts, and fiduciary trust accounts.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive financial strategy and lead a team.
6. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and other financial management tools.
9. Experience in the finance industry is strongly preferred.
10. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
