Job Details
We are a dynamic and fast-growing construction company seeking a strategic CFO to join our executive team. This role is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to use their expertise in financial management to drive our business forward. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and internal control systems. The CFO will also play a critical role in the development and implementation of our strategic initiatives, working closely with the executive team members. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as a CFO or equivalent role in an industry that does project based accounting.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow, and coordination of audit activities.
2. Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.
3. Evaluate and manage risk, ensuring the company's financial health and sustainability.
4. Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, and executive team.
5. Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance.
6. Collaborate with the CEO and other executive team members on strategic initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations.
7. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial and legal requirements.
8. Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
9. Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
Qualifications:
1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CFO or equivalent role
3. Proven experience in executive leadership positions, with a track record of successful financial and strategic management.
4. In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
5. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
7. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
8. Excellent communication and people skills.
9. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
10. Ability to strategize and solve problems.
11. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
12. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with other senior leaders, shareholders, and external partners.
