We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CFO to join our team on a permanent basis. The CFO will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the CEO and leaders of business units with an emphasis on bottom-line performance, working capital, and enhancing shareholder value. This position will involve executive management of financial and accounting strategy, contributing significantly to the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections, and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.
5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies), and other corporate policies.
6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP
7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance, and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities with all satellite offices as well.
8. Monitor and manage all aspects of grant accounting, ensuring compliance with funders' financial requirements and regulations.
9. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and pension funds and investments.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required, MBA preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred
3. Minimum 5 years experience in a senior management role
4. Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
5. Proficient in MS Office suite, databases, and financial software applications.
6. Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
7. Excellent understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
8. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
9. Ability to strategize and solve problems.
10. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
11. Excellent communication and people skills.
12. An aptitude for decision-making and problem-solving.
