CFO - FQHC Setting

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned financial leader to make a significant impact while supporting our mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities.

As the CFO, you will be responsible for the overall financial management and regulatory compliance of our organization. You will be a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. You will play a crucial role in developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall corporate strategy with the CEO and leaders of business units with emphasis on bottom-line performance, working capital, and enhancing shareholder value.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of the financial operations including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to align with the organization's strategic goals.
3. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
4. Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, and executive team.
5. Monitor and manage all aspects of the organization's cash flow.
6. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
7. Prepare annual budget and forecasts and manage them accordingly.
8. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
9. In collaboration with Director of finance - prepare and submit UFR and UDS reports in a timely and accurate manner.
10. Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the organization.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
2. CPA certification is highly desirable but not required
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position - IN AN FQHC SETTING.
4. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Strong knowledge of GAAP, UFR, UDS, and other relevant financial regulations.
6. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
7. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
10. Proficient in using financial software and MS Office.
