Job Details
Lead Enterprise-Wide Operations
1. Provide overall operational leadership across Civil, Concrete, Energy, Drilling, Crane, Equipment, and future business lines. Ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably while reinforcing high performance standards and a strong operating culture both in the field and at the executive level.
Set and Drive Operational Direction
2. Convert the company’s long-term objectives into practical operating plans and priorities. Establish scalable processes, performance measures, and management systems that improve reliability, efficiency, and quality across all divisions.
Advance Growth and Innovation
3. Evaluate and pursue new services, technologies, and market opportunities that complement the company’s capabilities and Hawaiʻi’s infrastructure needs. Promote a forward-thinking mindset that encourages continuous improvement and smarter ways of working.
Create Organizational Alignment
4. Foster cooperation across divisions, project teams, and shared services. Ensure operational execution consistently supports strategic goals, client commitments, and the company’s values.
Manage Results and Financial Performance
5. Collaborate with Finance and operations leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning. Track operational and financial performance metrics related to safety, productivity, margins, quality, and customer satisfaction, intervening when results fall short.
Develop Leadership and Bench Strength
6. Coach and support Division Managers and senior leaders. Build succession plans and development pathways that strengthen leadership depth and support long-term growth.
Safety, Compliance, and Risk Oversight
7. Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental obligations. Anticipate project, resource, and execution risks and implement controls to protect people, clients, and the business.
Client and Industry Representation
6. Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders. Serve as a visible ambassador for the company’s professionalism, integrity, and reliability.
Executive-Level Communication
7. Deliver concise and insightful reporting to the President/CEO and Board on operational performance, strategic initiatives, risks, and opportunities.

- 10+ years in operations leadership within construction, energy, industrial services, or similar industries
- 5+ years in a senior role (COO, VP of Operations, General Manager, or comparable) with oversight of multiple divisions
- Demonstrated success managing large, decentralized, field-driven operations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred
Capabilities:
- Strong enterprise-level perspective with the ability to translate strategy into execution
- Proven ability to improve operating efficiency, profitability, and scalability
- Comfortable owning P&L responsibility, forecasting, and risk management
- Respected leader who builds accountability, trust, and engagement
- Effective communicator across corporate leadership, project teams, and external partners
- Experience with project controls, operational systems, and financial tools
- Preferred: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or comparable credentials
