We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. Responsibilities:
1. Plan, design, and supervise the construction of infrastructure projects.
2. Prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right of way descriptions.
3. Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
4. Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
5. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
6. Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
7. Design and execute engineering experiments to create workable solutions.
8. Perform storm water and sanitary design, and land surveying tasks.
9. Utilize AutoCAD and CAD software to create 2D and 3D models.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in roadway design, storm water management, sanitary design, land surveying, and topographic surveying.
3. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD software.
5. Inspection experience as well as client interactions a plus.
