We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can manage complex projects and provide leadership to our engineering team. This role involves a combination of office and fieldwork, and requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, residential building design, construction, and project management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small-scale residential developments to large-scale civil infrastructure projects.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can manage complex projects and provide leadership to our engineering team. This role involves a combination of office and fieldwork, and requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, residential building design, construction, and project management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small-scale residential developments to large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and supervise construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewage systems.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
- Utilize AutoCAD to prepare structural designs and drawings with detailed specifications.
- Develop cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor to determine project feasibility.
- Complete and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, verifying that projects comply with various regulations.
- Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations.
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs to provide feasible solutions and prepare project proposals.
- Collaborate with architects, construction personnel, and other professionals on project planning and implementation.
- Manage and lead team for efficient project execution, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Provide high-level advice to the management team on strategic planning, and influence the direction of projects to meet the company's strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification would be advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in residential building design, construction, and project management.
- Proficient in design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD.
- Proven track record of managing personnel and material resources.
- Exemplary knowledge of engineering principles and disciplines, construction methodologies and material, and regulatory compliance standards and codes.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, with a solid understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex, technical information to clients, stakeholders, and team members in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative approach for new ideas.
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and a willingness to work on construction sites.
