Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including highway and roadway drainage systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on transportation and infrastructure projects. The candidate will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage various civil engineering projects, including but not limited to, highways, roadway drainage, and other infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare, review, and approve detailed engineering designs and plans.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Apply TXDot standards and guidelines in all project designs and implementations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Develop project budgets and timelines, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project stays on track.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and government officials to discuss project details and address any issues or concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience with highway and roadway drainage projects.
  • Familiarity with TXDot standards and guidelines.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
