We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and constructing a wide range of infrastructure projects from conception through to completion. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of project management and design expertise, demonstrating a deep understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed designs for civil engineering projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
2. Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to identify any potential risks and to ensure the project will be safe, economically viable, and environmentally sound.
3. Oversee the project’s construction phase, coordinating with contractors and other professionals, to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
4. Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations.
5. Analyze the results of tests on building materials, such as concrete, wood, asphalt, or steel, for use in particular projects.
6. Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, or labor to determine a project’s economic feasibility.
7. Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
8. Perform management duties such as proposing budgets and schedules, setting goals and deadlines, and managing teams of professionals and technicians.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the civil engineering field with a focus on project management and design.
3. Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
4. Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.
5. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
6. Project management and supervision skills are essential.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Excellent mathematical, IT, and analytical skills.
9. A strong understanding of engineering principles and ethics.
10. Ability to work in a team and lead projects.
11. Must be able to handle the physical aspects of the job, which include visiting construction sites, inspecting materials, and performing other tasks related to the physical construction of structures.
