The Civil Engineering Manager (CEM) is a licensed engineer who manages a team, providing leadership, contract compliance, and technical guidance to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. They oversee the implementation of improved production tools, standards, and processes, and coordinate with the Director of Civil Engineering on production processes and personnel development. During a project lifecycle, the Project Manager (PM) guides the project through various phases, ensuring alignment with client expectations and coordinating with the civil production staff and other A&E Project Managers.

Team Responsibilities:
  • Oversees a team of engineers and technicians, scheduling work and assignments.
  • Responsible for productivity and billable time of staff.
  • Coordinates with the Director to implement and improve standards and processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Communicates with the Director and Market Sector Principals regarding project status.
  • Reviews detailed drawings, design layouts, and calculations for various projects.
  • Manages production resources effectively and holds team accountable for commitments.
Required Skills:
  • Presents technical and design solutions to clients and authorities.
  • Works closely with the Director of Civil Engineering to execute project plans.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
