We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects, from the initial planning stages to the final bids. You will be working closely with our project management team, contractors, and clients to ensure the financial feasibility and competitiveness of our projects.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects, from the initial planning stages to the final bids. You will be working closely with our project management team, contractors, and clients to ensure the financial feasibility and competitiveness of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including earthwork, excavation, site work, , grading, and site development.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.
- Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to aid in estimate preparation.
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
- Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
- Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Prepare reports and presentations to explain estimates and proposals.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to adjust and refine estimates.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Civil Estimator.
- Proven experience with earthwork, excavation, site work, heavy civil, grading, and site development.
- Proficient in estimating software and spreadsheet software.
- Experience with HCSS or BTW.
- Strong knowledge of the civil construction industry, including materials, labor, equipment, and the current market.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Professional certification in estimating or a related field would be an asset.
