Job Details
We are seeking a Claims Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our claims department, ensuring that each claim is processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance claims, risk management, and claims handling, with a proven track record of leading a team towards success.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the claims department to ensure effective claims services.
2. Reviewing and analyzing claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.
3. Developing and implementing procedures to improve productivity and quality of claims processing.
4. Assisting in the development and execution of training programs for claims staff.
5. Managing and resolving complex or problematic claims.
6. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
7. Collaborating with other departments, such as underwriting and risk management, to identify trends and implement strategies to reduce risk and improve claims outcomes.
8. Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
9. Preparing and presenting reports on claims activities to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a claims management role, preferably in the insurance industry.
2. Proven experience in insurance claims, claims handling, risk management, and ClaimsPro.
3. A deep understanding of the principles and practices related to claims management.
4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving its goals.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, management, and customers.
7. Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant computer applications.
8. A bachelor's degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field. A professional certification in claims management or insurance is a plus.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
