Job Details

Clinical Director (Mental Health )
Salary: $72,800-$93,400 (Plus sign on bonus)
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5pm

Education, Training and Experience
Typical candidate will have graduated from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); with varied experience as a provider of mental health services.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration
Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection
License eligibility/registration with BBS or CA Board of Psychology

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
Provides individual, couples, family and group therapy under supervision of LCSW or LMFT
Provides support for new hire training
Conducts intake assessment meetings and complete necessary documentation
Provides oversight for program outcomes and KETS
Provides oversight for regional center SIR compliance standards in addition to approvals
Assists teams with coordination and conduct of individual service plan meetings and plans that reflect measurable objectives.
Assists team in prioritizing resources to complete paperwork requirements and outline areas for improvement in documentation.
Ensures that paperwork standards are met.
Assists the Program Director in all areas of program development as needed.
Problem solves communication difficulties between staff and clients by providing interventions to enhance communication.
Provides in-service training and workshops.
Visits clients periodically to provide direction and support.
Provides prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary for the resolution of the crisis situation. Provides “on-the-spot” counseling that is both helpful to the clients and consistent with the philosophy of the program.
Conducts Quality Management activities as directed by the program Director, such as preparation for Utilization and Review audits, internal audits, review of services provision and charting, and other projects as assigned.
Facilitate groups, provide individual and family therapy, and update diagnosis for clients not receiving medication management services from the program psychiatrist.
