As a Consulting Clinical Info Systems Analyst, you will embark on a dynamic journey of shaping the future of healthcare technology. This exciting role is a unique blend of healthcare and technology, where you will use your expertise to consult on, analyze, and improve clinical information systems. You will be at the forefront of ensuring that our systems are efficient, innovative, and compliant with regulatory standards. This role requires a deep understanding of MACS, Documentation, regulatory-compliant documentation, and clinical workflows. In this position, you will be instrumental in enhancing patient care through the optimization of clinical systems and processes.
Required experience with key applications:
Knowledge of development and enhancement of clinical documentation for Nursing, Providers, Ancillary, and Quality Improvement teams.
Knowledge of development and enhancement of orders and order sets
Ability to manage system issues. Working jointly with Altera support, analyze root cause of problems and provide direction for corrections, work-arounds, and/or enhancements.
As assigned clinical application administrator, defines, implements, monitors, maintains and adjusts application functionality on an as-needed basis to accommodate departmental needs and changing workflows.
Extracts data using advanced report-writing skills, exports and imports data between separate systems and/or databases, performs clinical software structural and logical analysis, and performs data validation and statistical analysis as needed
Knowledge and experience with both process and data-driven structured analysis techniques
Maintains ongoing functional knowledge of clinical areas (nursing, radiology, respiratory, quality, et
Manages vendor support relationships and facilitates ticket/issue tracking and resolution.
Must be able to understand business needs, define requirements, develop solutions (technical and/or process), implement systems, support testing and manage/support installed applications.
Provides first, second, and third levels of support for assigned applications. Log, track, resolve, and report support issues to management.
Takes after-hours call as assigned to ensure system functionality and access and will adhere to on-call schedule for after hours support
Uses data extraction, scripting, macros, batch files, and other mechanisms to automate production tasks and to improve efficiency
Works with Technical Services team and/or third-party (Altera) software vendor support team to monitor and validate software performance at the operating system level and/or application level to ensure optimal functionality of clinical systems
Writes ad-hoc reports, uploads, and downloads
