Clinical Nurse Educator - Outpatient Clinic - Hybrid Schedule!

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs based on patient needs and staff learning needs, evidence-based practice, and regulatory requirements.
2. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and develop appropriate training programs.
3. Facilitate on-boarding trainings for new nursing staff and provide ongoing education to existing staff.
4. Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their professional development.
5. Use nursing education principles to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
6. Participate in the development and review of policies and procedures to ensure they are based on the best available evidence and promote patient safety.
7. Collaborate with the risk management team to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
8. Develop and maintain educational resources for nursing staff.
9. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
10. Stay updated with the latest developments in clinical nursing and nursing education.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required, Master’s Degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
2. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing setting.
4. Previous experience in nursing education and leadership roles is highly desirable.
5. Certification as a Nurse Educator is a plus.
6. Proficient in developing and implementing educational programs.
7. Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice, nursing education principles, and risk management.
8. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficient in using computer systems and software used in functional area.
