Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Setup and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts, following established guidelines and procedures.
2. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
3. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately set up and run CNC lathes.
4. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions of finished workpieces.
5. Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
6. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machining processes and techniques for improved efficiency and quality.
7. Document and report any issues or deviations in the machining process to the supervisor.
8. Train and mentor junior machinists, sharing knowledge and best practices.
9. Utilize a hydraulic press as needed in the production process.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree or certification in machining or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC lathe operations, with a solid understanding of CNC setup and operation.
3. Proficiency in using a hydraulic press.
4. Strong knowledge of machining processes, inspection tools, and mechanical equipment.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
7. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a machining environment.
8. Good communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
9. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.
