Job Details
Qualifications:
1-2 years of practical experience OR completion of technical school training
Proficiency in interpreting 3D & 2D engineering drawings
Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM programming
Strong mathematical skills including fractions, decimals, and advanced calculations
Responsibilities:
Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines, including 4-5 AXIS Vertical Mills and Live Tooling Lathes, to produce parts
Interpret mechanical blueprints accurately
Set up fixtures and tools as per drawing specifications
Load and unload parts and raw materials
Make adjustments to maintain geometric dimensions and tolerances according to blueprints
Utilize quality gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
Identify and correctly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling
Perform tool wear offsets as necessary
Conduct basic maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment; schedule repairs when needed
Utilize manufacturing system (Epicor) for daily tasks and production workflows
Identify raw material shapes and types for machining
Meet or exceed production goals, including cycle time, quantity, and quality requirements
Program basic parts using CAD/CAM software
