- Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines including mills, lathes, or routers by loading appropriate tools, inputting program codes, and ensuring machine readiness for production.
- Programming and Operation: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and instructions to program CNC machines. Operate machinery to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, milling, or grinding to produce precision parts within specified tolerances.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks using precision measurement tools to verify conformance of finished products to quality standards. Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine operations, maintenance, and production activities. Complete necessary paperwork and reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with GibbsCAM.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and quality control processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery and perform routine maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or related field.
- Certifications in CNC programming or operation.
- Experience with specific software or machinery relevant to the company’s operations.
