Do you have a passion for precision, a love of engineering, and a keen eye for detail? We are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be integral to our operations, creating high-quality components for a variety of engineering projects. This is a permanent position, providing an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
In your role as a CNC Machinist, you will be expected to perform the following duties:
1. Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
2. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
3. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
4. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
5. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.
6. Test operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
7. Maintain machinery, perform routine checks, and troubleshoot any issues.
8. Adhere to all safety protocol, including the use of protective and safety equipment.
9. Keep a record of operational data to ensure accurate documentation of procedures and results.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
2. Proficiency in using Mill, 5 Axis, Machining, Tooling, or equivalent.
3. Excellent knowledge of the properties of metal and other material.
4. Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
5. Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
6. A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
7. Good communication abilities.
8. Completion of a vocational training or apprenticeship will be an advantage.
9. A professional certification (e.g., NIMS certification) will be a plus.
