Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC machines, including lathes and 5-axis machines.
  • Work with various materials, including aluminum, titanium, and steel, to manufacture high-quality parts and components.
  • Perform inspection of machined parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation on CNC machining processes, tooling, and programming.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering team to understand product requirements and provide input on manufacturability and process optimization.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations and standards, including the AS9100 standard.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CNC machine issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Train and mentor junior machinists, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in multi-axis CNC machining, including lathes and 5-axis machines.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Strong understanding of different materials, including aluminum, titanium, and steel, and their machining properties.
  • Experience with CAM software and tooling.
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques and quality control standards.
  • Knowledge of the AS9100 standard and other relevant regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot CNC machine issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively share knowledge and expertise.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team and also work independently with minimal supervision.
