We are on the hunt for a dynamic and talented CNC Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. This is a permanent role that will require you to be hands-on, proactive, and innovative in maintaining and repairing our CNC machinery. You will be working with a variety of CNC machines, including Okuma, Mazak, Matsuura, and Fanuc models. If you have a strong background in CNC maintenance and you are passionate about ensuring the smooth running of high-tech machinery, we would like to hear from you. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities
As a CNC Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
1. Performing regular preventive maintenance on CNC machines, equipment, and plant facilities to minimize downtime and prolong their life span.
2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues with CNC machinery, including Okuma, Mazak, Matsuura, and Fanuc models.
3. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
4. Responding quickly to any breakdowns and malfunctions to ensure minimum disruption to production schedules.
5. Documenting and maintaining records of all maintenance and repair work done, including tracking and planning for future maintenance tasks.
6. Assisting in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
7. Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
8. Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to improve maintenance procedures and standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the CNC Maintenance Technician position must have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC maintenance, specifically with Okuma, Mazak, Matsuura, and Fanuc machines.
2. Proven ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
4. Excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills.
6. Strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
7. High school diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in a relevant field being a plus.
8. Certification or training in CNC maintenance or a related field is highly desirable.
