Requirements
Nice to Haves
- Conduct machine and process capability studies; implement improvements to maximize efficiency
- Develop, refine, and troubleshoot CNC processes, tooling, and G-code programming
- Support APQP, FMEA, and Control Plan creation and review activities
- Commission and validate new manufacturing equipment and processes
- Evaluate suppliers, review technical offers, and coordinate indirect material purchases
- Define and monitor process parameters, ensuring adherence to specifications
- Write and maintain work instructions, training materials, and process documentation
- Lead feasibility studies, implement new or modified process solutions, and support automation initiatives
- Perform root cause analysis on process failures, alarms, and customer complaints
- Participate in 8D problem-solving activities and cross-functional continuous improvement projects
- Support robotic programming, machine controls, and automation enhancements
- Supervise interns and train employees on new systems and processes
- Maintain process history, automation logs, and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing (IATF environment preferred)
- CNC turning and CAD (or other 3D modeling) experience required
- Strong knowledge of FANUC CNC controllers (Siemens CNC preferred)
- Experience with Swiss-style and conventional turning machines
- Skilled in CNC program development, tooling, and interpreting gear data (CMM preferred)
- Ability to read schematics (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic)
- Strong project management, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong statistical and documentation skills
Nice to Haves
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or other CI methodologies
- Hands-on experience with robot programming and automation integration
- Familiarity with ISO14001 and advanced quality system standards
- Prior experience leading capital equipment commissioning or feasibility studies
