We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of materials, including aluminum and wood, using state-of-the-art machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying CNC programs, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines, and ensuring the production of high-quality parts that meet our rigorous standards.
Responsibilities
As a CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will be responsible for:
1. Creating, testing, and modifying CNC programs using G Code for 5 Axis machines, lathes, mills, and other CNC equipment.
2. Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
3. Using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to inspect parts and ensure they meet specifications.
4. Working with a variety of materials, including aluminum and wood, to produce parts for various applications.
5. Collaborating with the engineering team to design and produce tooling and dies.
6. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with CNC machines and programs.
7. Ensuring all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, following all relevant health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist in the engineering industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of G Code and experience programming 5 Axis machines.
3. Proficiency in using a variety of CNC machines, including lathes and mills.
4. Experience working with a variety of materials, including aluminum and wood.
5. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
6. Experience designing and producing tooling and dies.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues with CNC machines and programs.
8. A strong commitment to safety and efficiency in the workplace.
