Job Details

We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented, and experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC machine operations, including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machines, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and planning sheets. The candidate will also need to be proficient with various measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. This is a direct hire, full-time position that requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to ensure the production of high-quality parts.
  • Interpret and follow complex blueprints, planning sheets, and GD&T to produce parts as per specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to inspect and verify dimensions of parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and work processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve manufacturing processes and ensure the timely completion of projects.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document and report any discrepancies in machining operations to the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC Setup Machinist or similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in operating 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in CNC lathe machining and mill operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and planning sheets.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with machines and work processes.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certificate in a related field is a plus.
