CNC Swiss Machinist (1st Shift Lead)

10 hour shift
8 hour shift
Day shift

Lead 1st shift CNC team to hit production and quality goals, write programs and prepare tooling for in process work orders.
Train and coach operators as needed and manage production employee schedules.
Operate multiple machines, keeping parts in tolerance and making process adjustments and improvements.
Create and maintain documentation related to setup, programming, and tooling requirements for each part.
Assist in closing jobs by documenting cycle time, programming changes, and tooling costs for each part produced.
Must understand shop math
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Utilize GD&T
Experience using a microscope
Read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, pressure micrometer
Complete tool changes and setups
Previous experience with tight tolerances
Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance

qualifications for this role:

Two years of experience programming, setting up and operating CNC Swiss or Lathe in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with calipers and micrometer gauges
Fanuc programming a plus
Technical School Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
Strong math abilities
Preferred experience in a leadership role
Experience in troubleshooting of CNC Swiss Lathes
