We are currently seeking a Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing our firm's collections and ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Law Firm Collections Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and overseeing the firm's collections processes, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
2. Conducting account reconciliation on a regular basis to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
3. Collaborating with other members of the financial team to develop and implement strategies for improving collections processes.
4. Communicating with clients to address any issues related to billing and payment, and working with them to develop solutions that meet their needs and the firm's financial objectives.
5. Providing detailed reports on collections activities and outcomes to senior management.
6. Applying costing methods and techniques to assess the profitability of various aspects of the firm's operations.
7. Liaising with insurance companies as necessary to manage claims and ensure that the firm is adequately protected against potential risks.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the legal industry and collections practices, and applying this knowledge to improve the firm's collections processes.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Permanent Law Firm Collections Specialist, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a collections role, preferably within a law firm or other legal setting.
2. Proven experience with account reconciliation, costing, and insurance.
3. A strong understanding of collections laws and regulations.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively.
6. Proficiency in using accounting and collections software.
7. A high level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
8. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
