Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that all tasks are carried out according to plan.
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, ensuring all project goals and deadlines are met.
- Direct and manage all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms
- Understand and implement project plans and specifications, including the ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant job site, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project objectives are met.
- Effectively manage and resolve any unexpected issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare and submit daily reports detailing project progress, including any issues or delays and proposed solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years of proven experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in retail, healthcare, or other commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction quality and health & safety standards.
- Proficient in interpreting and implementing construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to supervise and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction management software will be an advantage.
