We are seeking a talented and experienced Permanent Commercial Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is an incredible opportunity to bring your expertise to a thriving construction company. As a Commercial Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our operations by providing accurate cost estimates that drive the success of our projects. You will be working closely with our project managers and other team members to ensure that our projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing the materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements for each project.
2. Review construction plans and specifications to determine the total cost of the project.
3. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best possible cost while maintaining the quality of the project.
4. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop a project plan, including budget and timeline.
5. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues and develop contingency plans.
6. Use financial analysis skills to evaluate the profitability of potential projects.
7. Manage contracts and maintain clear and accurate documentation of all estimates and contracts.
8. Use your construction estimating skills to accurately predict the cost of future projects.
9. Stay current with industry trends and advancements, applying this knowledge to your work.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
3. Proficiency in contract management, negotiation, financial analysis, project planning, and construction estimating.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in computer software programs related to job costing, scheduling, and project management.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
9. Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with diverse groups of people.
10. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
