Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing retail insurance brokerage. This role is responsible for managing a book of commercial lines business, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and service delivery. The ideal candidate is proactive, client-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned commercial lines clients.
Manage the full client lifecycle, including policy renewals, endorsements, audits, and certificates of insurance.
Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service.
Market and quote new and renewal business with carriers, including preparing proposals and analyzing coverage options.
Maintain detailed knowledge of carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
Review contracts and insurance requirements, ensuring proper coverage placement and risk mitigation.
Coordinate with producers and other team members to support account strategy and business development goals.
Ensure all documentation, activity, and correspondence is accurately entered into the agency management system (e.g., EPIC, AMS360).
Assist with claim reporting and follow-up when needed.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in commercial lines account management within a retail brokerage.
Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
Strong knowledge of various lines of commercial coverage (e.g., General Liability, Workers’ Comp, Commercial Auto, Property, Cyber, etc.).
Proficient in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a wide range of industries (e.g., construction, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services).
Designations such as CIC, CISR, or ARM a plus.
