We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team in the Engineering industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to join a fast-paced, results-oriented team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial lines accounts, focusing on property and casualty insurance. This role involves working closely with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and solutions. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the insurance industry, a strong track record in account management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial lines accounts, focusing on property and casualty insurance.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and objectives.
3. Collaborate with underwriters and other stakeholders to negotiate terms and conditions for insurance policies.
4. Provide expert advice to clients on risk management and insurance solutions.
5. Conduct regular reviews of clients' insurance programs to ensure they are adequate and competitive.
6. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact clients' insurance programs.
7. Resolve client enquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
8. Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
9. Prepare and present reports on account performance and activities.
10. Participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in property/casualty insurance or reinsurance.
3. Proven experience in commercial lines account management.
4. Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance products and market trends.
5. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
6. Ability to analyze complex insurance data and provide strategic recommendations.
7. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
8. Proficient in using insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
10. Professional insurance designation (e.g., CIP, CRM, CAIB) would be an asset.
11. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and customer-focused approach.
