Job Details

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a book of commercial insurance business by providing exceptional client service and maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and team members. This role involves handling all aspects of the policy life cycle, including renewals, endorsements, certificates, marketing, and daily client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a designated book of commercial insurance business, including renewals and new business support.

Serve as the primary client contact, delivering timely and accurate responses to inquiries and service requests.

Review and process policy endorsements, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements.

Prepare renewal proposals and marketing submissions, working with underwriters to negotiate terms and pricing.

Issue and manage certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, binders, and auto ID cards.

Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the agency management system (e.g., Epic, AMS360, Applied).

Identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling additional coverage or services.

Monitor claims activity and assist clients with the claims process as needed.

Ensure compliance with agency procedures and industry regulations.

Support producers and senior account executives with presentations, coverage comparisons, and client communications.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in commercial insurance account management.

Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required.

Strong knowledge of commercial lines products including General Liability, Property, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, and Umbrella.

Familiarity with marketing to standard and surplus lines markets.

Proficiency with insurance agency management systems (EPIC, AMS360, Applied, etc.).

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, service-driven attitude.
