Job Details
The Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to commercial insurance clients by handling inquiries, processing policy changes, and managing renewals. This role requires a thorough understanding of commercial insurance products and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and underwriters.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction:
Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing information and assistance related to commercial insurance policies.
Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Policy Management:
Process policy changes, endorsements, and renewals accurately and efficiently.
Ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Quoting and Proposals:
Assist in preparing quotes and proposals for new and existing clients.
Collaborate with underwriters to obtain competitive pricing and coverage options.
Claims Assistance:
Guide clients through the claims process, providing support and follow-up to ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate with claims adjusters and underwriters as needed.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized client files and records.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Account Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Conduct periodic reviews of client accounts to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with producers, account managers, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of best practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in commercial insurance, customer service, or a related field is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and coverage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Insurance licensing as required by state regulations.
