Position Overview:
As a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for handling a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, from inception through trial. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth, development, and increased responsibility within a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and corporate governance issues.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues.
Handle depositions, hearings, and court appearances.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, including settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
Communicate with clients, providing legal advice and updates on case progress.
Attend client meetings, participate in strategy sessions, and contribute to case development.
Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
Maintain and manage case files, ensuring that all deadlines and obligations are met.

Qualifications:

J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in NY.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
Strong understanding of commercial law, legal procedures, and litigation processes.
Proven experience in drafting legal documents, managing discovery, and handling motions practice.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal issues to clients and colleagues.
Experience in client management and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities.
A demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with e-discovery and legal technology platforms.
Trial experience or a demonstrated interest in litigation and courtroom advocacy.
Experience with high-stakes business disputes and a range of industries, including finance, real estate, and intellectual property.
