We are a leading law firm in the legal industry seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. As a Commercial Litigation Associate, you will be involved in complex commercial litigation matters, providing top-notch legal representation that aligns with our firm's standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Litigation Associate, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and submitting them to the appropriate court.
3. Conducting extensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
4. Negotiating settlements in the best interest of our clients.
5. Participating in arbitration and mediation proceedings to resolve disputes.
6. Collaborating with team members to develop effective litigation strategies.
7. Maintaining professional relationships with clients, keeping them informed of case progress, and managing their expectations.
8. Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and maintaining high ethical standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Commercial Litigation Associate position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
3. A minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation.
4. Proven experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
5. Demonstrable experience in negotiation and arbitration.
6. Proficiency in legal research and writing, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal team members.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
