We are seeking an associate level Commercial Litigation Attorney with dual license in IL and CA, to join our prestigious legal team. This unique position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of commercial litigation cases with a focus on professional liability, nursing home, condominium, commercial disputes, living facilities, and elder abuse. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience, a passion for law, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Commercial Litigation Attorney, you will be expected to:
1. Handle a diverse range of commercial litigation matters including professional liability, nursing home, condominium, commercial disputes, living facilities, and elder abuse.
2. Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
3. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
4. Conduct research, collect evidence, and formulate legal strategies to ensure successful resolution of cases.
5. Represent the firm and its clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
6. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on their rights and obligations.
7. Develop relationships with clients and work diligently to understand their needs and goals.
8. Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure effective case management.
9. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect your cases and clients.
10. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:
1. J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
2. Dual license to practice law in two states (IL and CA)
3. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial litigation with a focus on professional liability, nursing home, condominium, commercial disputes, living facilities, and elder abuse PREFERRED litigation experience required.
4. Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex disputes.
6. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Proven track record of success in litigation.
8. Ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
9. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
10. Commitment to providing superior client service.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
