We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Project Executive to lead our commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects from initial client engagement through final completion. This role is designed for a high-level professional who will not only manage complex project lifecycles but also serve as the strategic bridge between our internal departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service and our external stakeholders.

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Project Executive to lead our commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects from initial client engagement through final completion. This role is designed for a high-level professional who will not only manage complex project lifecycles but also serve as the strategic bridge between our internal departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service and our external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single source of responsibility to the company and the customer for all assigned projects, utilizing judgment and discretion in representing the firm.
- Coordinate and supervise staff from all departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service, to ensure timely project execution.
- Manage and supervise employees assigned to the project throughout the entire life of the project.
- Perform all functions required to promote and finalize sales, including estimating, conceptual design, proposal writing, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Prepare budget projections and rigorously control costs within agreed-upon limits.
- Develop new business opportunities and maintain cordial relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and the industry.
- Provide supervision, leadership, and coordination of all departmental efforts during project construction in a timely manner.
- Prepare and issue letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, and strategies to ensure good business procedures and legal protection.
- Demonstrate flexibility and diversity by managing varying work in varying locations, forming and reforming teams as needed for special projects.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in commercial mechanical project management, marketing, client management, etc.
- Proven track record of managing HVAC and/or plumbing construction projects or experience in estimating, design, and management of projects from $50,000 to $25+ million.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to develop new business.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management; MBA or Master’s level educational degree and/or a current licensed PE are pluses.
- Strong interpersonal and project management abilities with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to respond successfully to a high volume of issues with judgment and discretion.
- Experience in leading commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects from initial client engagement through final completion.
