Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with a particular focus on commercial transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and other legal documents related to commercial real estate.
• Advise clients on legal issues related to real estate transactions and development projects.
• Manage due diligence processes, including title reviews, surveys, and environmental reports.
• Assist in commercial real estate closings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide legal advice to developers, landlords, tenants, and financial institutions.
• Handle commercial real estate litigation, if necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and development teams, to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
• 3-7 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
• Strong knowledge of real estate finance, land use, zoning, and development.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with real estate development and land use.
• Familiarity with commercial lending and loan documents.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of the real estate market.
