We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
As a Commercial Superintendent, you will:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.
2. Manage subcontractors, ensuring their work is of high quality and carried out according to schedule.
3. Implement and manage the project schedule, ensuring that all milestones are met.
4. Utilize 3-week look aheads to anticipate and solve problems before they impact the project.
5. Monitor and control project costs to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
6. Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all site personnel.
7. Utilize design build, BIM, and MS Project in the planning and execution of projects.
8. Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, including any changes or issues that may arise.
9. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with local and federal construction regulations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience managing subcontractors and overseeing large, complex construction projects.
3. Proficiency in Design Build, Sage 300, MS Project, and BIM.
4. Experience in scheduling, construction management, budgeting, and construction safety.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
7. A strong understanding of construction laws and regulations.
8. Proven ability to manage projects on time and within budget.
9. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
