Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Permanent Commercial Superintendent to join our growing team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to develop and execute projects in commercial construction. This role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, with a focus on quality control, budgeting, subcontractor management, site management, and adherence to building codes and construction scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation, ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects, manage and supervise the construction process, and ensure adherence to quality standards and building codes.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand expectations and work to the project schedule.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
• Review work progress on a daily basis, identifying any potential delays or challenges and developing solutions to mitigate them.
• Conduct quality control checks, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of both the construction team and the client.
• Prepare internal and external reports regarding job status, daily reports, progress photos and punch lists.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficient in construction management software programs.
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
• Excellent knowledge of building and construction, materials, processes, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”, with excellent time and project management skills.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/project management software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Demonstrated understanding of building processes and construction equipment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• A valid driver’s license.
