We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Commercial Superintendent to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a leading construction company, where you will be tasked with overseeing the daily operations of commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and maintaining adherence to building codes. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, manage construction activities, and ensure projects are completed within the stipulated time frame and budget.
2. Manage and coordinate with subcontractors effectively to ensure smooth progress of the project.
3. Prepare and execute project performance and productivity, including 3 Week Lookaheads.
4. Ensure all construction activities align with architectural and engineering plans, adhering to all building and safety codes.
5. Implement and maintain quality control measures, ensuring the highest standards are met.
6. Manage contracts, including negotiations, compliance, and disputes.
7. Resolve on-site issues and emergencies promptly and effectively.
8. Maintain a safe and clean job site, enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols.
9. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
10. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the construction industry.
3. Proficient in subcontractor management, contract management, and construction management.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, quality control, and safety protocols.
5. Proven experience with 3 Week Lookaheads and site management.
6. Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
10. Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
11. Valid certification in Occupational Safety and Health, and a valid driver's license.
