Job Details
The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for the setup and management of the daily activities of assigned projects resulting in work that is completed on-time, profitably, and of award winning caliber. Superintendents have the primary responsibility for overall safety, schedule management, field operations, subcontractor management, financial management, and assist in Pre-Construction Services (estimating & purchasing). Superintendents also help mentor and foster an environment of on-going learning and development on their teams – you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your experience and expertise to the benefit of your teams.
Requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management and/or equivalent experience
3+ Years of progressively responsible field operations experience in general contracting environment, including, at a minimum, verifiable experience managing projects over $15M.
Experience managing a large team of subcontractors and over 15 trades
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to create, update and manage construction schedules. Experience with P6 a plus.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to establish priorities, meet firm deadlines, and problem-solve
Strong people skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
Must be goal oriented and a self-starter
