Commercial Superintendent

Based in Boise, ID we are a a third-generation Idaho-born and independently managed construction firm. We employ 175 full-time employees (based of work load) consisting of highly trained and skilled, certified craftsman, superintendents and foreman, project managers, field engineers, safety personnel, estimators, cost control engineers, accounting personnel and home office support

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Commercial Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. As a Commercial Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing ground-up commercial projects. This is a permanent position with tremendous growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all workers on the construction site.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage and oversee subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure their work aligns with project requirements.
• Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, addressing any concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Prepare and submit timely and accurate project reports, including progress reports, budget updates, and any other required documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Commercial Superintendent.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial construction processes and techniques, with a focus on ground-up projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering commercial construction projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to quickly identify and address issues to ensure project success.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and protocols, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Proficient in using project management software and tools to effectively plan, track, and manage construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
