Our company, a leading player in the energy / community solar industry, is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy, particularly solar, and community solar projects. This role involves a blend of community outreach, government affairs, event planning, community projects, and business development. Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategies for community outreach and engagement in relation to our renewable energy projects, particularly solar and community solar initiatives.
2. Liaise with government bodies and officials to advocate for renewable energy projects and to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
3. Plan and execute community events that promote our renewable energy initiatives and foster positive relationships with community members.
4. Coordinate and oversee community projects related to renewable energy, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
5. Drive business development opportunities within the community, identifying potential partnerships and collaborations that will further our renewable energy objectives.
6. Monitor and analyze the impact of our community development initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to maximize their effectiveness.
7. Maintain a strong knowledge of trends and developments in the renewable energy industry, particularly in relation to community solar projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Environmental Science, or Community Development. A Master's degree would be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the renewable energy industry.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with solar and community solar projects.
4. Proven track record in community outreach, government affairs, event planning, and community project management.
5. Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and partnership.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Passionate about renewable energy and committed to promoting its benefits within communities.
