Are you passionate about construction and project management? Do you have a knack for overseeing complex concrete and rebar projects from inception to completion? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Concrete & Rebar Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role entails managing and overseeing all aspects of our concrete and rebar construction projects. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. You will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle including conception, design, development, and closure.
2. Manage and guide the work of the construction team, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
3. Develop and implement project work plans and review as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
4. Conduct site inspections to ensure conformance to design specifications and building codes.
5. Manage project budget, including risk allowance. Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated.
6. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
7. Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and other construction specialists.
8. Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
9. Resolve any issues or delays that occur on-site in an efficient and timely manner.
10. Provide regular updates to clients and senior management on the progress of projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the construction industry dealing with concrete and rebar projects.
3. Proven experience in steel fabrication, concrete structures, and rebar detailing.
4. Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, CAD software, and relevant tools.
5. Excellent knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
6. Strong understanding of construction law, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
7. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions with little oversight.
9. Superior negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
10. PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
