Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities and skill set includes but are not limited to:
Prepare monthly upload files to upload to the BCS (Business Consolidation System).
Responsible for downloads from the local systems (SAP R3 & SAP B1) and for the preparation of the upload files
Upload of multiple entities into the consolidation software
Preparing tie out and bridge files from local systems to the BCS
Analyzing and Clearing of Validation Errors.
After uploading and consolidating monthly results, validations must be made, and the validation errors need to be resolved.
Partnering with HQ regarding validations and adjustments
Reporting under IFRS.
Bridging the local books to the BCS under the IFRS – needs to be transparent and understandable for YE audit.
Reporting of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 to HQ. Partnering with local accountants and with group accounting regarding IFRS requirements.
Automating the upload process for the BCS by creating new upload files.
Participating in upgrade implementation projects associated with BCS tool.
Analyze critically mapping files for various legal entities and create new mapping logic if needed.
Maintain IC clearing for all US legal entities in the BCS and partner with local accounting teams to be aligned with the local books.
Preparing documentation for staff “how to use” the BCS efficiently.
Implement process improvements.
Qualifications
Work well in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing internal customers to completion.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Advanced problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office especially Excel;
Experience with complex ERP systems - specifically with SAP S/4HANA, SAP R3, SAP B1, SAP Business Warehouse or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
Understanding of IFRS (especially IFRS15, 16 and IAS37) and US GAAP reporting requirements
Team player
Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment and as a team.
Experience with international work environments and cooperation with different time zones
Highly motivated and driven individual with an IT affinity
Ability to learn autonomously and to research
Minimum of 8 years of experience as Senior Staff Accountant or Consolidation Accountant.
International and dynamic work environment that is driven by change and growth.
Previous experience with SAP R3 and BCS is crucial for success.
Extensive work experience with electronic spreadsheets (Pivot tables, V-lookups).
Knowledge of accounting rules and regulations – IFRS and US GAAP is a must (IFRS15 and IFRS16, IAS37).
