We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction AIA Finance Coordinator/Manager to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a solid background in construction accounting, finance, and management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our construction projects, ensuring the company's financial health and compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires an individual with a strong understanding of bank reconciliation, month-end processes, journal entries, accounts payable, and notary services.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review AIA billing and contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage and perform bank reconciliations, month-end closing processes, and journal entries.
  • Oversee accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Provide notary services as needed.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to construction finance and accounting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in construction finance or accounting, with a focus on AIA billing.
  • Proven experience in bank reconciliation, month-end processes, journal entries, and accounts payable.
  • Notary public certification with a minimum of five years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of construction finance laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management skills.
