Job Details:

Our organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is integral to our success and requires a professional with a strong understanding of construction processes, cost analysis, and project planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
2. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they are complete and competitive.
3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors on project cost estimates.
4. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost overrun scenarios and develop mitigation strategies.
5. Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
6. Review and understand all project documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
7. Participate in the bidding process, including formulating bid strategies and attending pre-bid meetings.
8. Provide value engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
9. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, budget, and timelines.
10. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in construction methods, materials, and building codes.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
2. Proficient in estimating, preconstruction, bidding, takeoff, construction estimating, cost management, cost analysis, and budgeting.
3. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
5. Proficient in using software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
6. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
8. Proven ability to provide value engineering solutions and manage project bidding and planning.
9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Certification as a Professional Estimator or similar is a plus.
