Construction Estimator

You will be tasked with providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, from the initial bid phase through preconstruction, bidding, and submittals. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure that all estimates are accurate and competitive. Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Participate in the bid process, including preparing bid packages and analyzing bid proposals from subcontractors.
• Work closely with the preconstruction team to develop project plans and schedules.
• Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
• Prepare and submit submittals in accordance with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to aid in estimate preparation.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of cost and statistical data.
• Participate in project meetings, providing updates on cost estimates and budget status.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve any issues that may impact the project cost.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
• Proven experience with bid preparation, preconstruction planning, bidding, and submittals.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
