Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Construction Estimator to join our team. This position is pivotal to our success, and we are looking for someone who is as passionate about the construction industry as we are. The Construction Estimator will play a key role in our company by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for negotiated construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for negotiated construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review and evaluate project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
• Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet project specifications and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects during the pre-construction phase to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current market conditions, including price trends and availability of materials and labor.
• Use advanced construction estimating software to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Participate in project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and contract negotiation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on negotiated work and hard bid.
• Proven experience with construction management at risk (CM at risk) is required.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, team members, and management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certification in construction estimating is a plus.
